The School of Accounting, originally founded in 1938, is one of the pioneer accounting schools in China. Professor Xie Lin, China’s first CPA and prominent accounting expert, was the founder and director of the School of Accounting.

The School is one of the largest, most comprehensive schools in SWUFE, with 101 faculty members. Dedicated to academic research innovation, the School has yielded a series of high-standard academic publications and academic research achievements

SWUFE has repeatedly broken the domestic enrollment score records, being one of the top ten most demanding Project 211 universities in terms of this benchmark.

Sustainable Faculty Program

This plan calls for cultivating sustainable faculty resources in collaboration with other higher education institutions from abroad. Beginning in 2010, exemplary students have been selected from the entire University to partake in the Sustainable Overseas Faculty Plan, which is held in collaboration with Baruch College of City University of New York and Rutgers University. This plan serves to expand the reserve of overseas faculty and to optimize SOA’s human resource structure. The School is the only one domestic school to participate in a strategy like this, and, as of 2017, twelve students have graduated as a part of this plan and have joined the School’s faculty.
